Individual Volunteers

Volunteers make an immeasurable difference in the lives of others. Although you enjoy helping others, did you know that volunteering can benefit your own health as well? Researchers have attempted to measure the benefits that volunteers receive including positive feelings referred to as a helper's high, increased trust in others and increased social interaction.

Experience your individual commitment to positive change by volunteering at BEL..

Group/Project Volunteers

Group and project volunteers learn leadership skills while contributing valuable expertise to causes they believe in. Support your workforce with opportunities to engage and implement critical projects with BEL.  These projects are either annual events or occur several times a year in support of special projects.  Examples include events that recognize Earth Day and Juneteenth or planting trees in underserved communities.

Corporate (Skills-Based) Volunteers

Create personally and professionally enriching employee experiences while helping BEL increase our social impact.  We can work with your project team to build an effective skills-based volunteering program.

Expand your employee volunteerism and engagement by working directly with BEL.  This can be accomplished through skills-based volunteerism, exchange of information and short term hands-on projects.  All are actionable solutions that make a difference.

Skills-based Volunteerism

Pro Bono expertise can be deployed to boost the visibility of your organization’s social-impact work while enhancing employee and partner engagement.

Best practices from the private sector can help to strengthen BEL as we share best practices and further your mission.

Information Exchange

When making an impact in the environment, many hands in one day can make a big difference. From time to time, BEL hosts community projects by lending a helping hand. These short term projects are a great way to give back to the community, while learning how to be even better stewards of the environment.
